Susan Moulton

Susan Moulton is a successful sustainability solutions executive for Waste Management, the leading provider of comprehensive waste and environmental services in North America.

Susan has a long track of helping businesses and communities achieve their challenging environmental goals. Susan understands the issues the public and private sector fact in meeting this various government mandate and private sector environmental goals. Susan has nearly two decades of experience working in the waste industry.

Since 2004, Susan has been the Director of Public Sector and has helped thousands of companies and local governments drive sustainability and diversion initiatives while developing creative ways to cuts costs, and create community partnership surrounding waste and diversion issues.

While Susan manages one of the largest municipal franchise markets ($237M annually), she is also known as an Executive has a strong record promoting the environment.

Drawing on her experience, Susan was one of the first waste executives to recognize that being pro-environment is good for California’s economy. In her role at Waste Management, she has promoted green technologies and environmental initiatives such as the Environmental Management Program (EMP). The EMP integrates environmental policies and standards, planning, training, communications, documentation, assessment, compliance audit services, and management review processes, to achieve superior environmental performance while supporting our main principles of protection, compliance, conservation, and communications.

As Waste Management, Susan has worked tirelessly to make sure that employees that have responsibility for environmental leadership are trained in the company’s environmental practices. Susan has taken a leadership role in promoting the recycling and reuse of materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.

Prior to working at Waste Management, Susan worked for Rehrig Pacific Company where she managing the largest region in the company.

Susan has a B.A. in Marketing and graduated with honors from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois
