Javier is the Executive Director of Strengthening Our Lives (SOL)   which does Latino Voter Registration and get out the vote. SOL has   been successful in registering over 65,000 new voters from Los Angeles   to Fresno and has successfully run field campaigns for many local and state elected officials. SOL's mission is to help foster a new era of politics by building bridges to other communities and dramatically   increasing the civic participation of working people and immigrants so   that voters in California to more accurately reflect the demographics,   views and desires of Californians.
Previously Javier was the Political Director of SEIU 1877 and it's 'Justice for Janitors' campaign. Before that Javier was a Union Organizer and a Community Organizer before that. Javier lives in Hawhtorne and has two daughters.
