Anthony Rendon
Anthony Rendon has enjoyed an extensive career in politics and the non-profit sector. He is currently a non-profit and government relations consultant and is working on the MTA’s Eastside Gold Line and Foothill Extension projects as well as with Plaza de la Raza Child Development Services.
Dr. Rendon served as the Interim Executive Director of the California League of Conservation Voters from June 2008 to February 2009. From 2000 to 2005 Dr. Rendon served as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Development for the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation. In addition, he was previously employed with the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; AIDS Walk Los Angeles; and Refugio Para Niños Foster Family Agency. In 2006 he served as the Campaign Manager for Mike Eng’s successful state assembly campaign.
A past recipient of a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship, he earned his PhD from UC Riverside in 2000 and completed his post-doctoral work at Boston University in 2001. He also served as adjunct professor of Political Science at California State University, Fullerton from January 2001 to May 2008.
Dr. Rendon is an appointed Personnel Commissioner for Los Angeles Unified School District and serves on the boards of directors of the California League of Conservation Voters and the Los Angeles County League of Conservation Voters.
